Today, European countries and the EU face political, economic, social and identity crises. The whole of Europe is challenged with making successful policies that promote economic growth and employment, regulate markets, respond to changing demographics, and promote and protect cultural heritage.  The crises and possible responses arise from the interdependence of different levels of decision making— national, European, regional and local— no single level can act on its own.

To analyze these subjects, King's College London and Luiss University, have joined their efforts to offer a Double Degree in Policies and Governance in Europe (PAGE). Starting in 2020-2021, the program covers major political and economic developments in Europe while offering the opportunity to spend one year in Rome and one year in London.

“Two capital cities, London and Rome, two renowned universities, King's and Luiss, one double degree: by choosing PAGE, students have a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge and learn tools to interpret the evolving dynamics of European relations,” states Luiss Rector, Professor Andrea Prencipe.

This exciting new program provides in-depth knowledge of the policies and political economy of Europe—both European countries and the European Union—from an interdisciplinary perspective, including political science, law and economics. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn two degrees in Policies and Governance in Europe: a Master’s degree from Luiss and a Master of Arts from King's College London.
