As of 2019, Luiss has strengthened its commitment to raise awareness of the entire university community to respect the environment and reduce the use of plastic on campus through several actions. The University is committed on a daily basis to promoting a plastic-free culture and discouraging the use of plastic bottles. Hot beverage machines only dispense paper disposables, and in the cafeterias, there are no longer any plastic disposables. The replacement of plastic water bottles with bottles made of compostable materials has been planned. As part of initiatives aimed at reducing the use of plastic, water dispensers are available both indoors and outdoors on the University’s premises. It is worth noting the agreement with Acea Innovation, which enabled the installation of 3 water dispensers at different locations.
