Major in Finance
The Finance major covers fundamental topics across economics and finance, with a specific focus on financial markets, risk management, asset allocation, corporate finance, statistical and econometrics techniques and data analysis. Students will build their general expertise upon solid theoretical, quantitative and legal backgrounds to thrive in professions where this expertise is mostly valued. Graduates of the program are prime candidates for work in the financial and banking industry, consulting firms, public authorities and research departments of major international institutions.
Our students have outstanding social insight, language and communication skills and critical thinking abilities – students who can handle diversity. This, in addition to more standard academic capabilities in finance and data analysis as well as the analytic and quantitative skills necessary to effectively participate in an increasing complex and changeable society.
Job Opportunities
Graduates of this master’s degree program can hold positions of high responsibility in the economic and financial system, in investment banks, asset management companies, banks and other financial institutions. They may also launch careers with international organizations and supervisory authorities, central banks and in managing multinational companies.
Graduates in Economics and Finance can also work as consultants at the highest levels of the economic and financial field. The program furthermore includes internships with financial institutions, consulting companies, public entities and regulatory and supervisory authorities.
