LUISS in Brasile

On November 23, 2015, LUISS will host an event to present the new network of partnerships between the University and Brazil in Viale Romania's Aula Chiesa at 6:30 p.m.

LUISS has invested in a new relationship with Brazil as a part of its vast internationalization campaign. Now counting 162 exchange agreements, 22 Double Degrees and structured partnerships, the University's international presence has increased rapidly in 2015.

Brazil, with an Italian population of up to 60% in its southern regions, has a high diffusion of the language thanks to the continuing presence of Italian secondary schools. This fact, in addition to the country’s potential are the primary motivations for the development of relationships between LUISS and Italian businesses, law offices, banks, insurance companies, consultant firms, media companies, and even soccer teams.

Participating in the partnership are also large Italian multinational companies such as ENEL Green Power, Finmecchanica’s Alenia and Telespazio, Pirelli, TIM, FCA’s CNH Industrial and Stola, Unicredit, Intesa SanPaolo, Generali;  prestigious Brazilian legal offices Andersen Ballao, Casillo and Vernalha; Brazilian newspapers Estadao e Folha San Paolo; and soccer clubs such as Fluminense, International and Cruziero.

Two graduates and a LUISS student have already left to perform internships in Brazil while 10 positions are currently open with Career Services, with many more to come at the end of February. Students interested in spending a semester at a Brazilian university in 2016-2017 can apply for programs with Rio de Janeiro’s Fundação Getulio Vargas – FGV or São Paulo’s FGV DIREITO SPINSPER Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa and FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado.

Guests at the LUISS in Brazil launch event will be Brazilian Ambassador Ricardo Neiva Tavares, LUISS Provost Massimo Egidi and LUISS General Manageer Giovanni Lo Storto.
