Luiss graduate Armando Occhicone registered for the Luiss Master’s program in Law in 2013, graduating with a perfect score in 2017, just 3 years and 10 months later. “I chose Luiss following a Summer School experience after my fourth year of high school. The University has taught me the right balance between tradition, modernity and innovation.”

Following time with the Banking and Finance Regulation Department at BonelliErede, Armando now works at UniCredit, where he offers legal and regulatory support in the field of Corporate Governance. Recently, the Luiss alumnus was listed in the Forbes 100 Under 30. “It was a great, unexpected surprise. I am proud to have received this honor but I also feel the responsibility of representing young people around the world. I hope I can be a source of inspiration and motivation for others,” Occhicone explains.

Regarding his career at Luiss, more than his time in the books and at conferences Armando remembers, the cultural and recreational activities organized by All Around Luiss. “I think it’s important to find the right balance between business and pleasure,” Occhicone explains.

To current students, Armando recommends following your passions because they are the key to success, on both the personal and professional level. “Find a role model to follow: friends, professors or professionals. Have the courage to compare yourself to them and ask for advice and suggestions.” According to Armando, mentoring is an extremely important instrument for young professionals and graduates. He currently offers mentorship through the non-profit platform Mentors4U.

One of the Luiss graduate’s short-term goals is to lead a team of skilled and enterprising people to motivate and influence them through intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. “Colleagues that I can extend my know-how to and at the same time learn rom because everyone always has something to teach and everyone always has something they need to learn,” he explains. In the future, Armando would like to become a general counsel for a financial institution or bank: “This would allow me to unite my passion for law and my interest in economics and finance.”
