The Call for applications to the comparative selection procedure, based on qualifications and possible interview, for the assignment of nr. 1 collaboration contract for the Department of Political Science, within the project LATIF is now online.

The project LATIF, “Leveraging Argument Technology for Impartial Fact-Checking”, is funded by the European Media & Information Fund (EMIF) as managed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and is coordinated by the research center Data Lab at Luiss University Guido Carli - specialized in data, new technologies, artificial intelligence in the fight against disinformation. Within the project, Data Lab coordinates a high-profile international team composed of experts in digital narratives and disinformation in collaboration with the University of Dundee, the University of Liverpool and with the think tank T6 Ecosystems.
The project brings the methodology of Competing Hypothesis Analysis (ACH) into the fact checking domain to counteract and control cognitive biases in the fact checking process. The project will develop a new generation of ACH based digital tools to enhance and improve decision-making processes of fact-checking organizations.
The selected candidate will collaborate with the entire Data Lab network in achieving the objectives including the Italian Digital Media Observatory, the national hub of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO), with Rai - Radiotelevisione Italiana Spa TIM S.p.A., Pagella Politica, News Guard, University of Tor Vergata, the GE.DI. Group S.p.A. with the Republic and others national and international supporters.
The comparative evaluation procedure is aimed at selecting No. 1 (one) Dissemination Manager for activities on social network analysis aimed at understanding diffusion flows of information and promoting the dissemination of high-quality information.
The contract will start on start, compatibly with the timing of administrative procedures, in the current month and the duration is set in the contract following the comparative selection process, until the end of the project (October 31t, 2024)
A presence in Rome is required.

The following documents must be attached to the application:
- Curriculum vitae in English where to indicate the level held of English Knowledge and any certifications;
- Motivation letter;
- Copy of the awarded Educational Qualification for the admission to the selection procedure issued by Italian or Foreign Institutions;
- Copy of further awarded Educational and Specializing Qualifications obtained in Italy or equivalent educational and specializing qualifications obtained abroad (and in those cases, all supporting documents useful for the evaluation of the qualification by the appointed Committee);
- Copy of a valid identity document.
The comparative selection, which will be carried out through a special evaluation committee, will consist of a preliminary evaluation of the candidates' admission requirements and qualifications, and be followed by a possible interview.
The outcome of the selection procedure and the final ranking list will be published on the relevant Luiss web page, as well as the eventual list of candidates summoned to the interview, the relevant time and the manner or place of the interview.
