The Board of Directors of Luiss University, chaired by Luigi Gubitosi, has appointed Rita Carisano as General Manager of the University.
Ms Carisano, the current General Manager of Confindustria Verona, graduated with honours in Economics and Business from Luiss University in 1984 and completed her studies in industrial economics at the London School of Economics. She joined Confindustria in 1986, first in the Small Industry Area, with increasing responsibilities, and then, from 2001, with the role of Director of Membership Marketing. In 2006, she was called to spearhead the growth of Confindustria Verona, which now counts over 1,700 businesses and 80,000 employees in the Province. She is the author of publications in the field of economics and has held several university teaching positions.
