The observatory focuses on the study of geopolitical risk from a methodological, theoretical, and practical perspective. Not only does the observatory align with similar international initiatives in the growing field of research on this topic, but it also fosters significant synergy between universities and external organizations, both public and private, by offering support in geopolitical analysis with particular attention to the dynamics of the national system. In doing so, the observatory also aims to initiate an inter-institutional reflection on the challenges that Italy and its national system must face in the current complex international system.
