LLM Educational Program with the University of Warwick
Highlights
The program provides a significant and international preparation in the field of International Law, offering to students the opportunity to choose one among the following specializations:
- Advanced Legal Studies;
- International Economic Law;
- International Commercial Law;
- International Development Law & Human Rights;
- International Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation.
It aims at recruiting ambitious and motivated students, offering them the chance to learn in an exciting environment with world-class professors.
The program is a tuition-paying program.
In addition to tuition fees at Luiss, tuition payable to the University of Warwick for the 2025-2026 academic year (September 2025) is around £23,910. Luiss students will benefit from a 10% discount, so they will be required to pay a fee of £21,519.
Please note that tuition does not include living expenses. Students must also factor additional costs of housing and meals.

Application Process
The Call for Application is published on Early December 2024 and students will be able to apply starting from 8 January 2025. Further information on the deadlines are reported in the table below. Details regarding the application process that are not available in this web page, will be available in the Call for Applications 2025/26, uploaded in the 'Useful documents' section at the bottom of this page.
Who can apply
Students enrolled in the fourth year of the single-cycle Master’s degree program in Law can apply to this program. According to their major, students can apply for:
- an LL.M. in Advanced Legal Studies open to students majoring in Diritto Internazionale, European Law, Law and Innovation, Diritto Penale, Diritto Societario e Tributario, Diritto ed Economia delle Imprese, Diritto del Lavoro e della Previdenza Sociale, Diritto Civile, Diritto Amministrativo;
- an LL.M. in International Economic Law open to students majoring in Diritto Internazionale;
- an LL.M. in International Commercial Law open to students majoring in Diritto Internazionale, Diritto Societario e Tributario, Diritto ed Economia delle Imprese, Diritto Civile;
- an LL.M. in International Development Law & Human Rights open to students majoring in Diritto Internazionale;
- an LL.M. in International Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation open to students majoring in Diritto Societario e Tributario, Diritto ed Economia delle Imprese, Diritto Civile.
Available slots
Every year, a total of 15 students can participate in the program.
Requirements
The candidate for this program should have the following requirements:
- have a minimum average grade equal or above 27/30;
- have obtained a minimum of 180 ECTS;
- English language - students must possess one of the following certifications:
- IELTS: min. score of 7.0 overall, with no more than two components at 6.0 or 6.5 and the rest at 7.0;
- TOEFL: min. 100 IBT with minimum Reading 22, Listening 21, Speaking 23, Writing 21;
- Pearson Test of English PTE (Academic): min. 70 overall with no component score below 51;
- Cambridge Advanced (CAE): min. 190 overall, with 2 components at 170 minimum and 2 components at 190 minimum;
- Cambridge Proficiency (CPE): min. 190 overall, with 2 components at 170 minimum and 2 components at 190 minimum.
The language certificates must not be older than two years from the start of the mobility (August/September 2025). Applicants must meet the requirements using a single test.
Selection Procedure
Luiss University will select a shortlist of candidates based on a non-disputable evaluation of the academic profile and the motivation of the student. Further details about the selection process would be published along with the call publication.
Results will be communicated to Suffolk University which reserves the right to make the final choice.
Selection Criteria
The selection follows a 3-step process:
Step 1 | The eligible candidates will be ranked after the analysis of their academic performance (credits 53%, credits for internship 2%, weighted average grade 45%). The academic performance will be calculated on the basis of the data available to the Student Office by 12 February, 2025. |
Step 2 | An interview will focus on the motivation, the academic background and the previous international or professional experiences |
Step 3 | The partner Universities, analyzing the Luiss Commission ranking and the candidates’ dossiers, has the right to confirm the final ranking. |
