On November 26, 2015 LUISS Rector Massimo Egidi presented a new series of University initiatives in Brussels scheduled for 2016.

During a conference with representatives from the Italian Initiative Group (GII), heads of the European Commission and LUISS students, the Rector presented a series of working lunches on European affairs and current events to be introduced by LUISS professors including Marcello ClarichRoberto D’AlimonteGian Maria Gros-PietroMarcello MessoriEnzo Moavero Milanesi and Paola Severino.

Thanks to the hospitality of Ambassador Vincenzo Grassi, the conferences will take place in the Italian Ambassador’s residence in Belgium. The initiative is furthermore an occasion to exchange ideas with professionals that work in the heart of European institutions.

The Rector also made a point of meeting with LUISS students in Brussels on exchange programs to offer a sign of solidarity after weeks of high alert in and around the city.

Over 30 LUISS students are currently in Brussels for exchange programs or internships. Since the foundation of the Brussels Desk, over 60 internship opportunities for LUISS students and graduates have been created, thanks in part to the LUISS Alumni Association’s Brussels Office.
