On July 14, 2016 the first edition of the Summer Programme on Europe in partnership with Université Paris-Dauphine came to an end in the lovely Esplanade des Invalides gardens where the diploma ceremony and farewell party took place.
The program has been jointly issued by the School of European Political Economy, the School of Government and the School of Law and has also been an acknowledgement of the strategic relationship between LUISS and the French university.
Students from Europe and around the world (coming from Argentina, Austria, Canada, China, Italy, Lebanon and United States) had the chance to get a thorough overview of the functioning of the European Union and its institutions, of the historical, political and economic processes that brought to its creation, and of the future challenges the Union must face.
In addition to lecture, the program provided students with the chance of visiting the European Parliament in Strasbourg and the European Commission in Brussels, while also meeting senior officials and fellows working for European institutions.
