In addition, Filippo Cerboni, part of the Department of Law’s team, coordinated by Professor Angela Del Vecchio, was awarded the title of "Best Oralist."

This prestigious competition, dedicated to Philip C. Jessup, diplomat and jurist from New York and a longtime member of the International Court of Justice, is organized by the International Law Students Association and simulates a dispute involving public international law before a reproduction of the International Court of Justice. The Jessup Compromis 2014 covers "The conflict between maritime development and conservation, criminal jurisdiction and maritime salvage rights."

Over the course of its history, over ninety countries and six hundred law degree programs have taken part in the competition.
