For the European Parliamentary Elections on May 25, 2014, the Italian Center for Electoral Studies (CISE) at LUISS, presided over by Prof. Roberto D’Alimonte, has helped create the euandi web application.

The application, financed by the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence and developed in close cooperation with Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society, identifies the national and European parties that are in line with the user’s political positions and connects users with others who share their views.

The test deals with 30 topics that are the subject of debate at the EU’s institutional headquarters and functions as a political orientation and recognition tool. Thanks to the results of the survey, 28 research teams made up of over 100 experts and an advisory committee of 40 professors in Political Science, they will be able to build a dataset based on a full set of behaviors and attitudes, as well as a citizen-friendly political map of Europe.

Professors from Harvard, EUI and LUISS will present the project on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sala Colonne at the LUISS campus located at Viale Pola 12.
