At the National Model United Nations simulation held in April in New York, LUISS proved once again that it is a top university. Over five thousand students from all over the world took part.
At this year’s event, LUISS students were recognized by the Consules Association. They represented delegations from the United States of America and Haiti, in the biggest simulation of what goes on at the United Nations.
The two LUISS delegations won the Honorable Mention Delegation prize, a distinction assigned by MUN’s organizers for consistency in interpreting their assigned country, for their efforts during this project and for respecting the rules of the procedure.
LUISS students Anna Chiara Amato, Maria Teresa Cefalì, Marta Dafano, Federica Guida, Lorenzo Lorenti and Maria Elena Sandalli, part of the "United States of America" group, also received the Outstanding Position Paper in Committee award, for the best position paper, which is the preparatory document that summarizes the country’s position on the various topics on the agenda for the "Human Rights Council", "UNICEF" and "United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees" committees.
Students were trained by the University and by Consules, a non-governmental organization that has worked with LUISS for over 10 years on internationalization projects.
