On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the Viale Romania campus hosted the LUISS Grand Ball, dedicated to good food and charity.
Overnight, the campus was transformed overnight into a mini Expo, filled with street food and acrobatic pizza exhibitions. Furthermore, students, staff and celebrities (journalist Emma D’Aquino and actors Cesare Bocci, Fortunato Cerlino and Francesco Montanari) competed in a cooking contest using products from the LUISS community garden.
Chef Gianfranco Vissani, TV conductor Giancarlo Magalli and actress Francesca Ceci acted as guest judges while Chef Peppe Zullo advised the teams. Hosted by journalist Paolo Notari, the competition also featured a special performance by singer Edoardo Vianello, who delighted guests with some of his greatest hits.
The music started at midnight, with a deejay set in the Aula Chiesa and a piano bar in the borghetto.
A part of the proceeds went to the Associazione ANFFAS di Macerata that supports families with disabled children.
