In order to apply to the Call for International Exchange Programs with European (Erasmus+) and non-European countries 2025-2026, Luiss organises 4 language tests aimed at students who do not already have a Luiss language level.

Applicants must register for the test when submitting of their application, by ticking the specific "Sel to register" box on the right, next to the test in which one wants to take part.

It is also not necessary to register for a language test if no destinations associated with that language have been selected in the application.

Students who, in addition to these tests, must also take the tests organized by the University Language Centre for the formation of language groups, must only participate in the test organized for the International Exchange Call. The tests organised for the International Exchanges Call replace the tests organised by the University Language Centre for the formation of language groups, therefore it is not necessary, nor possible, to take both.

Below are the dates and methods of the language tests:

Monday, February 3rd 2025

FRENCH TEST

The language test will take place in person. As the test date approaches, each candidate will be informed of the classroom in which the test will take place.

Students must show up in the classroom at 08:45, utmost punctuality is required.

Test structure: written and oral

  • Fill the gap exercises and short written compositions (8-15 lines)
  • interview with the teacher to assess listening and speaking

Duration of the written test: 30 minutes, from 09:15 to 09:45

Duration of the oral interview: approx. 10 minutes. Interviews will begin at 10:00, until candidates are over.


Monday, February 3rd 2025

SPANISH TEST

The language test will take place in person. As the test date approaches, each candidate will be informed of the classroom in which the test will take place.

Students must show up in the classroom at 08:45, utmost punctuality is required.

Test structure: written and oral

  • 90 multiple choice questions (grammar – vocabulary)
  • interview with the teacher to assess listening and speaking 

Duration of the written test: 45 minutes, from 13:00 to 13:45

Duration of the oral interview: approx. 10 minutes. Interviews will begin at 2:30 pm until candidates are over.


Tuesday, February 4th 2025

 GERMAN TEST

The language test will take place in person. As the test date approaches, each candidate will be informed of the classroom in which the test will take place.

Students must show up in the classroom at 08:45, utmost punctuality is required.

Test structure: written and oral

  • 90 multiple choice questions (grammar – vocabulary)
  • interview with the teacher to assess listening and speaking 

Duration of the written test: 45 minutes, from 13:00 to 13:45

Duration of the oral interview: approx. 10 minutes. Interviews will begin at 10:00, until candidates are over.

Please note: the use of teaching materials in digital or paper form is not allowed during the tests.
