Double Degree in Management of Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment with NHH
Highlights
This Double Degree with NHH is an exciting two-year program taught entirely in English, aimed at students currently enrolled in the first year of the Luiss master’s program in Strategic Management, Innovation & Sustainability and its tracks in English.
If compliant with both Luiss and NHH academic requirements, students will obtain the Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration (MScEBA) (issued by NHH) and the Master’s Degree in Strategic Management, Innovation & Sustainability and its tracks in English. (issued by Luiss).
The program is structured as follows:
- The first year is carried out at Luiss University (Rome);
- The second year is carried out at NHH (Bergen, Norway).
Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at NHH and will continue to pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying tuition at NHH. If compliant with both universities’ rules and conditions, as for credits envisaged, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity etc., participating students will receive two degrees, which will be released according to each university’s procedures.

Application process
Details regarding the application procedure, the selection process, deadlines, and further information will be contained in the call for applications. In case of doubts about the documents to upload or to get further information about the requested documents, students are invited to contact the International Development Office before the application deadline.
Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.
Who can apply
The Call for Applications for the mobility year 2025-2026 is open to students enrolled in the 1st year of the Luiss Master's Degree in Strategic Management, Innovation and Sustainability - tracks in English for the academic year 2024-2025.

Every year a total of 7 students can take part in the program.
Requirements (updated for the mobility year 2025-2026)
Candidates for this program should have the following requirements:
- Weighted average grade equal to or above 26/30;
- Having passed all the exams of the 1st semester;
- Graduation at Bachelor / Undergraduate Program with a minimum of 90 ECTS within Business Administration:
- A minimum of 30 ECTS must be within business administration;
- A maximum of 45 ECTS may be within methodological subjects, such as statistics or mathematics.
Please note that students who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management or in Economics and Business at Luiss are eligible to apply, whereas all other students are kindly advised to consult the eligibility of their Bachelor’s Degree by the end of December 2022.
As for English, students must possess at least a C1 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proven by one of the following certifications:
- TOEFL min. 91/120 iBT
- IELTS min. 7.0
- Duolingo min. 125
- Cambridge: CPE, CAE, FCE min. grade A
- Certificate issued by the Accademica linguistica Trinity School di Roma
- Certificate issued by the Luiss University Language Center
- International Secondary School Diploma (IB) totally taught in English
- Bachelor’s degree totally taught in English
Additional rules
- The participation in this program will provide additional points to the Final Grade of the Master’s Degree, according to Luiss rules.
- Students will be able to participate only if they have no pending administrative issues with Luiss.
- Exams passed at NHH will be transferred to Luiss according to the study plan. It is not possible to request an official renouncement of the grade registration.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be ranked based on their academic performance score, currently calculated according to the following criteria:

English language level | 25% | To be calculated according to 6 levels (from A1 to C2) of the CEFR standard |
Bachelor's Degree final grade | 5% | Starting from 100 and up to 110 cum laude |
Registered ECTS credits for Internship | 2% | Credits registered in the current academic records for internship. |
