Located on the top floor of the Luiss Campus in Viale Romania, the Laboratory of Fabulous Things – LOFT is conceived as a space to foster and enhance an academic culture based upon technology, design thinking and creativity.
At the LOFT, you will find:
- a consultancy point;
- a coding area with three dedicated computers;
- a co-working space equipped with two 3D printers;
- a video-making room featuring green and white screens;
- a podcast center where students can record their own audio and podcasts;
- a post-production room and a silent rehearsal room, where students can play musical instruments available on-site;
- a cinema room, in which students can watch movies for educational purposes, and also find an Xbox, which can be used to play games every day between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
During the academic year, the Luiss LOFT offers courses in coding, machine learning, the Internet of Things, photography, and videomaking.
When the LOFT is free from scheduled activities, students can access it for any creative purpose, and can book each space if the activity calls for this (e.g. videomaking, post-production, and recording).
The LOFT staff also offers a free photography service for students to obtain professional photos for their CVs.
