In this section, you will find an updated list with announcements and Call for Applications for Degree Awards that are not directly managed by Luiss but may be of interest to our students and graduates.

To be granted a scholarship, students will be evaluated based on their financial status and academic performance. The financial value of scholarships varies depending on the granting institution and is established in relation to the student’s position (on-site, commuter, off-site).

The value of the Degree Awards also varies according to the granting institution. Typically, these are granted on a merit-basis (graduation grade within a threshold and timeframe i.e., graduation date/academic year) and are often linked to specific thesis topics.

Students obtaining a Degree Award may also benefit from publishing their thesis, undertaking an internship at the granting institution or partner companies, carrying out research abroad, and winning grants covering enrollment costs for a post-graduate course, etc.

Konrad Adenauer Foundation Scholarship Program in Italy

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) is a German political foundation based in Berlin. It contributes to enhancing peace, freedom, and social wellbeing in Germany, Europe and around the world. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation Scholarships in Italy are designed for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree students. The two scholarships comprise a 6-month scholarship aimed at completion of the thesis and a 12-month scholarship.

Students from public and private Italian universities engaging in the fields of politics, social sciences, law and economics, theology, and the media can apply.

You can submit your application at any time. Scholarships can also be awarded retroactively for the year 2021.

“Giorgio Vincenzi” Degree Award – ABI

In memory of lawyer Giorgio Vincenzi, who served as Vice President of Assicredito and Chief Editor of “Notiziario di Giurisprudenza del Lavoro” for many years, Associazione Bancaria Italiana (ABI) renewed the Degree Award designed for graduates, completing their studies in Italy or abroad, who presented their thesis during the period between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021. The prize worth €5,000 will be awarded to the best thesis, falling under the legal and socio-economic disciplines, focusing on employment relationships in the credit sector.

StudioSì, Smart Specialization Fund

StudioSì is a Fund provided by the NOP on Research and Innovation 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and managed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), designed to support participation in tertiary education programmes (single-cycle, second cycle, first and second level postgraduate master’s degree courses and specialization schools) consistent with the thematic areas identified by the National Smart Specialization Strategy.

It is addressed to students resident in the 8 regions of Southern Italy who are attending, have pre-enrolled or have been accepted in tertiary education programmes in Italy or abroad. For students not resident in the regions of Southern Italy who are attending, have pre-enrolled or have been accepted in tertiary education programmes at universities in Southern Italy (up to 25% of resources).

Eligible courses are post first-level tertiary education pathways: single-cycle degrees, second cycle degrees, first and second level postgraduate master’s degrees and specialization schools (without scholarships/remuneration) recognized by MUR.
