Which documents must be attached to the pre-application?
Answer

In case of IB Diploma, applications will be considered as complete solely upon receipt of the original of the certificate sent directly to Luiss by the certification body. The onus is on candidates to request that the original be delivered through the methodes envisaged by the IBO platflorm. Answer

Question
Is it possible to apply for the shortening of programs if I have a foreign qualification?
Answer

Students in possession of a final foreign second cycle degree program who are interested in obtaining an Italian university degree at Luiss may request an evaluation of their previous career to be admitted through shortening of program to take further exams to complete the part of the curriculum of studies not covered by the foreign qualification for the release of the Italian qualification.

The foreign qualification must have the following requirements (as indicated by Cimea):

·    it must be an official second cycle degree program of the foreign system of reference, issued by an official and recognized academic institution of the foreign system;

·    it must allow enrollment in the same first or second cycle degree program in the foreign system of reference;

·    present the same nature and disciplinary elements of the corresponding Italian qualification;

·    it must be comparable with an Italian qualification and it must be consistent with the contents of the degree program in which one wishes to enroll.

The procedure for issuing the Equivalency of a foreign academic qualification is not envisaged, for which reference is made to the competent Authorities.

Question
How can I verify that the pre-application procedure was successful?
Answer

Pre-applications for shortening of programs will be examined by the Board Council and the students will receive an outcome by email within approximately 15 working days.

In case of a mismatch of credits, the Board Council may assess the suitability of the programs and, if necessary, request that an additional exam be taken, whose content will be determined by the adjunct professor holding the course, on a case-by-case basis.

It is reminded that exams will only be recognised as validated with CFU without indicating the grade. Any validated exams will not be taken into account for the purposes of calculating the weighted average.

Students will be notified of the outcome and must confirm their acceptance or refusal of the proposal for recognition within 7 days of receipt of the notification.

Upon acceptance, they will receive the necessary instructions to enroll by paying the amount foreseen for the degree program's year to which they have been admitted.

Question
What do I have to do to enroll once I have received a positive result?
Answer

Notification of the outcome will be made to the email address you provided on your application form. You will have to reply to the email confirming your wish to enroll and accept the proposed recognition of exams. You will then receive an email with instructions for enrollment and payment of the annual tuition fee. It is mandatory to obtain the title for admission by November, 13th 2025.

For holders of non-Italian academic qualifications, the onus is on the candidates to verify the eligibility and recognition of their degree title for the enrollment to the degree program they are applying to, as well as all visa requirements.

The finalization of the shortening of programs will only take place when the student has completed all the enrollment steps.

Question
When can I start attending classes?
Answer

You will only be able to start attending classes once your shortening of programs has been completed.

Question
When will I be able to start taking exams and/or integrations once the shortening of programs has been completed?
Answer

The first session in which exams and/or integrations can be taken will be the Winter Session (starting from December).

Question
How can I find information about scholarships and opportunities for accommodation and access to residences?
Answer
