Luigi Gubitosi

‎Born on 22 May 1961 in Naples, Luigi Gubitosi has served as the President of Luiss Guido Carli since October 2023.

Between 1986 and 2005, he held various positions in the Fiat Group, including Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director, and Group Treasury Manager. He acted as Chair of the Board of Directors of Fiat Partecipazioni andwas a member of the Board of Directors of Fiat Auto, Ferrari, Iveco, Itedi, Comau, and Magneti Marelli.

In 2005, he joined Wind Telecomunicazioni as the Chief Financial Officer and later became its CEO from 2007 to 2011. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2012, he served as the Country Manager, and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Italy. From 2012 to 2015, he held the position as General Manager of RAI.

During the two-year period from 2017 to 2018, Mr Gubitosi served as the Extraordinary Commissioner of Alitalia SpA. From November 2018 to November 2021, he held the positions of CEO and General Manager of TIM SpA. Currently, he operates as a Partner at the Advent International fund.

Mr Gubitosi served as the Deputy Chair of Confindustria Servizi Innovativi e Tecnologici (CSIT), Deputy Chair of Asstel, was a member of Confindustria’s Fiscal and Corporate Governance Committee, and was the Italian member in the Trilateral Commission. His board memberships include Cometa (metalworkers’ pension fund), F2i Sgr, and Maire Tecnimont. Mr Gubitosi was a member of the organizing committee for the 2006 Turin Chess Olympics and the Ryder Cup (Rome 2023).

A Chartered Financial Analyst, Mr Gubitosi has been the Chair of the European Advocacy Committee of the CFA Institute. He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainbleau, following his graduation in Law from the University of Naples and his studies in Economics at the London School of Economics. Recognized as a Knight of Labor, Mr Gubitosi holds the position of Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford. Additionally, he is a member of the Council of the Italian Institute of Technology and serves on the Scientific Committee of the Merloni Foundation.

Paolo Boccardelli is full professor of Economics and Management of Corporate Strategy at Luiss University since 2011 (Associate professor since 2004). He is Director of the Research Center in Strategic Change “Franco Fontana” at Luiss, and Co-Director of the Board Academy Program at the Luiss Business School.

He was Dean of the Luiss Business School from 2015 to May 2022, after serving as Dean for the international development at the same School from 2011 to 2015. During his mandate, the Luiss Business School achieved the Equis and the AMBA accreditations, and it initiated the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation process. He was awarded the “Luiss Engaged Research Award” in June 2024.His main research areas are Business Strategy, Resources and Dynamic Capabilities View, Institution-based View.

He is part of the group of Experts of International Standing at the Australian Research Council.

He is a member of the Equis Committee and he is an expert in Equis and EFMD on quality services and processes for schools pursuing Equis accreditation. He was a member of the AACSB Board of Directors.

He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Leeds University Business School, of the Universidad Pompeu Fabra – Barcelona School of Management, as well as of the University of Stavanger School of Business and Law.

He is Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Lars Magnus Ericsson Foundation.

He was member of the “Nucleo di Valutazione Federato” at the Scuola Normale Superiore-Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna-Scuola Universitaria Superiore Pavia, Vice President of the CUEIM’s (Consorzio Universitario di Economia Industriale e Manageriale) Steering and Supervisory Committee, and member of the International Advisory Board of the Amsterdam International Business School.

He was an independent member in the Board of Directors of companies such as UBI Spa and TIM Spa, and he is currently independent director of the Banco BPM Spa.

Barbara Beltrame Giacomello

‎Beltrame is a graduate in Communication Sciences. Since 2023, she has been Vice President of AFV Beltrame Group and Head of the Communication and Marketing area–a well-known company in the Italian and European steel sector. She also holds positions on the Boards of Luiss Guido Carli University, Simest Spa, ITA (Italian Trade Agency), the CUOA Foundation, and the University of Vicenza Foundation. 

She was Vice President of Confindustria Vicenza, responsible for the Education and University delegation, and a member of the General Council of Federmeccanica and Confindustria. She served as the President of BusinessMed (Union of Mediterranean Business Confederations) for the three-year period 2020-2023. 

Since May 2020, she has held the position of Vice President of Confindustria Nazionale with a focus on internationalization, and is a member of the General Council of Confindustria.
