Lorenzo De Sio is a Full Professor of Political Science at Luiss. He is the director of CISE (Italian Center for Electoral Studies). His research interests focus on voting behavior and party strategies; on these topics, he has published several books and numerous articles in leading international academic journals.
Demography provides the key to understanding the economic and social transformations of a country by analyzing the interactions and balances between the key players in change: individuals, families, youth, and the elderly.
The Public Ethics course provides an interdisciplinary analysis of the ethical aspects of the functions of administrators and elected politicians, with particular attention to promoting the public interest and impartiality.
Not only theories, models, and research, but also practical application aimed at professional opportunities: this is GAP, and this is also the course on Methods and Techniques of Social Research.
To avoid being intimidated or discouraged by bureaucracy, it is essential to understand the rules of its organization and functioning, which is the essence of administrative law.
Studying administrative law today means understanding the machinery of institutional, political, and economic relations. The challenge is to interpret the complexity of issues while providing effective solutions.

A programme with an interdisciplinary ethos designed to offer an integrated view of politics as an interaction between society and institutions, and to train individuals capable of analyzing politics, and managing and implementing public policies. This programme provides a unique combination of theoretical knowledge and concrete operational tools to address the challenges of governance and administration in an increasingly complex world.
A distinctive feature is the practical, application-oriented approach to knowledge, thanks to workshops developed in cooperation with public bodies and businesses. Thus, students learn how society formulates demands that are elaborated by politics, producing policies. They also develop analytical and management skills.

Dopo un nucleo comune di sei corsi fondamentali, i due major di Politica e Comunicazione e Governo e Amministrazione prevedono ciascuno un ulteriore insieme di cinque corsi fondamentali di indirizzo.
Da qui in poi, i due major si articolano ulteriormente in percorsi, pensati in modo mirato per favorire l’ingresso in specifici mondi professionali o l’interazione con essi.
Ciascun percorso prevede un pacchetto raccomandato di corsi a scelta e di attività di laboratorio, caratterizzato da alta coerenza interna e progettato con obiettivi di formazione orientati ad uno specifico mondo professionale ben caratterizzato sul mercato del lavoro.
A ciascun mondo professionale di riferimento fanno capo, anche in relazione alle esperienze degli ultimi anni, sbocchi occupazionali ben caratterizzati.
