LEED Certification – The Viale Romania Campus received the LEED Existing Building certification in 2016; the voluntary sustainability protocol that focuses on the performance and energy management of existing buildings and is one of the world’s most prestigious environmental quality certifications.

Green Metric – The University was ranked 22nd in the World University GreenMetric ranking of most sustainable institutions in 2021, up from 43rd in 2020. Luiss was confirmed the world’s second institution in the category of “Energy and Climate Change”, and first among Italian universities.
