Double Degree in Management, Innovation and Sustainability with the University of Mannheim
(former Management, Green Economy and Sustainability)
Highlights
This Double Degree with the University of Mannheim is an exciting two-year program taught entirely in English, aimed at students who plan to enroll in the Luiss master's program in Management or in Strategic Management, Innovation and Sustainability.
If compliant with both Luiss and Mannheim academic requirements, students will obtain the master’s in management (M.Sc.) (issued by Mannheim) and the Master’s Degree in Management or Strategic Management, Innovation and Sustainability (issued by Luiss).
The program is structured as follows:

the first year is carried out at University of Mannheim (Mannheim, Germany).

the second year is carried out at Luiss University (Rome, Italy).
Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at Mannheim and will pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying tuition at Mannheim. If compliant with both universities’ rules and conditions, as for credits envisaged, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity etc., participating students will receive two degrees, which will be released according to each university’s procedures.

Application process
Details regarding the application procedure, the selection process, deadlines, and further information will be contained in the call for applications. In case of doubts about the documents to upload or to get further information about the requested documents, students are invited to contact the International Development Office before the application deadline.
Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.
Who can apply
Students enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree in the academic year 2024/2025, or graduates in a Bachelor’s Degree who have not graduated before the Summer Graduation Session of the a. y. 2023/2024 (July 2024) who are interested in enrolling in the master's program in Management and Strategic Management, Innovation & Sustainability and its majors in English.
Only applications from students enrolled or graduated in Economics, Finance, Business, Marketing or Management will be accepted.

Every year a total of 5 students can take part in the program.
Requirements
All Double Degree candidates are required to comply with the selection procedures and guidelines indicated in the Graduates Admission website. Please ensure to identify the specific regulations that apply to your status as an applicant (e.g. international student/graduate/Luiss student). In case of admission, all students are required to comply with enrolment regulations and deadlines set by each Call for Applications.
Please consider that the admission procedures for the Luiss Master's Degree and the selection procedures for the present Double Degrees are separate processes. The positive outcome of the Luiss admission procedure does not automatically involve a positive outcome in the selection procedure for the DDs. Should the DD selection outcome not be positive, the student will remain registered to the Luiss Master's Degree Course of admission.
Candidates for this program should have the following requirements:

Completion of an Undergraduate Program in the field of Business, Economics, Management, Finance or Marketing

Credits: at least 136 ECTS by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application (usually by mid-February)

Weighted average grade of at least 27,50/30

One letter of reference
Students are suggested to request the letter of reference well in advance of the application deadline.
As for English, students must possess at least a C1 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proved by one of the following certifications:

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be ranked based on their academic performance score, to be calculated according to the following criteria:

Students will be selected by April 2025, and they must enroll in one of the two Master's Degrees acording to the timeline and rules from the Admissions Office.
Additional rules

The participation in this program will provide additional points to the Final Grade of the Master’s Degree, according to Luiss rules.

Students will be able to participate only if they have no pending administrative issues with Luiss.

Exams passed at Mannheim will be transferred to Luiss according to the study plan. It is not possible to request an official renouncement of the grade registration.
