The Department of Political Science of LUISS University invites outstanding scholars to express their interests for 1 full-time position as Assistant or Associate Professor in Contemporary Political History.
Profile
Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. from a renowned academic institution, an excellent publication record, a proven ability to deal with primary sources, and solid teaching experience on the political history of Europe in the 19th and 20th Century. S/he will be able to teach in English. The ability to either teach in Italian or the commitment to be able to do so in 3-5 years would also be appreciated, but it is not a requirement.
Position
The appointment is full-time, and the salary is competitive. An Assistant Professor will have a three-year tenure track contract, renewable in case of positive evaluation by the Department; an Associate Professor will have a permanent contract. Teaching load is two courses per year in either an undergraduate or a post-graduate program. Supervision of master dissertations and bachelor papers is required. Teaching assistants are available. Funding for conferences attendance is also available.
