Hailing from Beijing, Wang Tingshan and Pan Zeyu are both registered for Luiss bachelor’s degree programs: "When we were in high school, Luiss professors came to our school to give lessons, inspiring us to study here, in a University that is well respected in China.”

Wang is working on a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business: "I believe that understanding the economy is vital to being a part of future society.”

Pan, on the other hand, has chosen the bachelor’s degree program in Politics, Philosophy and Economics because “Italy is a country with a rich political history, full of important events to analyze,” she explains. “Furthermore, Luiss is an important institution, recognized at the international level, and studying three topics gives me the chance to better understand several different aspects of Political Science.”

Both students feel right at home on campus: “Luiss students are so friendly, and then there are spaces like the Language Café where you can make friends,” explains Wang. “It’s a special place where you can play the guitar, relax and talk with different people,” adds Pan.

For the two girls, “the Luiss campuses are vibrant and full of colour. The professors are always available to help you, and, for any problems you might have, there is always a tutor or staff member ready to assist.”

Once they have finished their degrees, both Wang and Pan would like to go back to China and work for Italian companies or entities that are connected to Italy in some way.

Neither, however, completely exclude staying in Rome: “It is a city that offers so much. I love going to concerts and film nights as well as participating in events organized by the Erasmus Student Network,” concludes Pan.
