Luiss graduate Martina Capriotti holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University, studying abroad first in Copenhagen and then in Canada. During her first job experience with Boston Consulting Group, in the strategic consulting sector, she had the opportunity to work in both South Korea and Japan. “During the last semester of my master’s degree, I participated in a Business Game organized by Luiss and a consulting company. The experience allowed me to give it my all and to turn my academic career into a professional career.”

Once back in Italy, Martina launched her own entrepreneurial experience. “I wanted to turn what I had learned in consulting and apply it to my own idea. I created MIRTA, a startup that gives space to small Italian artisanal leatherworkers.

According to Martina, one of the University’s main strengths is the plethora of extracurricular projects possible, allowing Luiss to offer a complete education. In fact, Martina would like to advise students that with hard work and the right dose of ambition, anything is possible. Furthermore, Martina says: “so far I have learned that the choices you make are not binding, but you have to brave and not limit yourself to get the best results.”

For Martina, the best thing about Luiss, besides the campuses, are the people that she met that are now part of her everyday life.

Martina’s goal is to make a difference in a changing sector, in order to have a real impact on both the country and people. “My goal is to preserve Italian tradition, that made us stand out, through the digital world.”
