Luiss Full Professor of Strategy Alessandro Zattoni has been nominated President of the Board of the International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS), after having served as local chair for the society’s annual conference, held at Luiss in 2017.
The ICGS is an educational organization formed in 2014 to provide an academic forum for corporate governance scholars that enhances research, teaching, and consulting on corporate governance systems, practices, and outcomes throughout the global economy.
Professor Zattoni follows outgoing president Doug Cumming and will lead ICGS in its mission to provide a forum for corporate governance scholars around the world to interact in order to produce rigorous and relevant research, teaching and consulting that enhance corporate governance practices and systems within the global economy.
The organization pursues this mission by facilitating and sponsoring international academic conferences, doctoral consortiums, issue-focused symposiums, interdisciplinary research, awards to effective scholars, notices on academic positions and cutting-edge books, information on noteworthy corporate governance developments, databases of firm - and national-level corporate governance indicators, as well as white papers on matters of public policy. The next annual ICGS conference will be held at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia (USA) on November 14 and 15, 2020.
