Fondation L'Oréal and UNESCO have worked together for more than 20 years to help empower more women scientists to achieve scientific excellence and participate equally in solving the great challenges facing humanity.
L'Oréal Italia for Women and Science, in collaboration with the Italian National Commission for UNESCO announces 6 endowments, amounting to €20,000.00 each, to be awarded to young and promising women researchers to promote the improvement of their professional training in the fields of Life and Matter Sciences, including technical-scientific matters such as Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, also in case of complementing the Social Sciences approach with the exploration of research methods and results in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). The endowments, lasting 10 working months, must be used to conduct scientific research at Italian research institutions that have expressed their interest in carrying out the research activity.
The deadline to apply is February 8, 2021.
Each year, the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science programmes support more than 250 talented young women researchers. Through its 52 regional and national programmes, the Fondation L'Oréal and UNESCO support them at a crucial period in their careers, during their thesis or post-doctoral studies.
