Career Service

The curricular internship is a training experience specifically designed for students. It can be carried out in Italy or abroad, within public and private institutions or employers.

The extracurricular internship is a training period lasting up to 6 months. It is designed for university graduates who are not currently employed and is aimed to help them enter in the job market.

Luiss offers the possibility of starting certain professional paths in advance, such as legal practice, notary profession, employment consultant practice, and chartered accountant practice.

The Luiss Summer Internship is a summer program that allows Luiss students to acquire specific and interdisciplinary competencies, aimed at enhancing their CV and future employability.

Meetings with national and international commercial and investment banks, private equity funds, SGRs, and boutique firms to learn about the complex selection process in the banking sector and various internship programs.

Period: September.

A series of on-campus meetings with multinational strategic consulting companies to explore the required technical and relational knowledge, areas of intervention, case-based interviews, and career opportunities.

Time period: October.

A day of meetings with recruiters at the desks to meet representatives of international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Students have the opportunity to ask questions, share their expectations, and understand if they have the right motivation to embark on this particular career path.

Time period: February.

A meeting to learn more about trends in the luxury industry (technological innovation, sustainability, and savoir-faire) and to network with recruiters from the different maisons of the LVMH group. This allows students to better understand the challenges of the luxury industry, centered on creativity and excellence, as well as the skills required to pursue a career in this field.

Time period: April

“Young People and Work” Career Day is the most important event organized by the Luiss University Career Service. It is an annual event aimed at fostering contacts between over 100 companies and students and graduates of all degree courses, by launching and promoting recruitment programs and initiatives, informing students about valuables resources available and required skills, and spreading the corporate values of companies.

Time period: May.

In-person or virtual meetings with employers where students can be inspired by managers’ stories, leverage the opportunity to share their CV, and stimulate an interview.

Time period: September-November, February-April.

In-person or virtual meetings with employers where students can approach the first step of the selection process that is the Business Case. Students have the opportunity to test their ability to crack the business case and work in a team.

Time period: September-November, February-April.

Informal networking meetings with Luiss graduates–already dynamic professionals–to exchange views and gather important tips on how to set up a pathway to success, personal satisfaction, and making contacts that can lead to career opportunities.

Time period: September-November, February-April.

A series of inspirational meetings with the Rector and key players of businesses and institutions. Sharing leadership experiences, exploring reference models, and understanding principles and values that inform organizational behavior are valuable assets for those preparing to build a career path. Moderated by a Luiss Faculty member, the meetings include a testimony for a duration of 30’ and a 15’ question and answer session with the student audience.

Time period: Autumn and spring.

The Luiss Career Service is available to accept any other proposals for experiential activities–such as challenges, project work, business case resolution, business games, recreational events, networking, and training sessions–that align with Employers’ demands and are shaped according to the needs of students.

Luiss Brussels Days is a recruiting and career guidance event spanning two days, where representatives from European institutions, international organizations, think tanks, NGOs, international law firms, banks, and corporate companies operating in Belgium meet with students and graduates at Confindustria's headquarters in Brussels.

One-to-one meetings are individualized meetings with the Career Service team, allowing you to create an action plane aligned with your career goals. These meetings also help to identify and enhance your skills and knowledge. Discover more

Every year, the Career Service promotes selection processes for internships abroad, including Erasmus+ Placements, MAECI Crui, the European Court of Human Rights, the Council of Europe, and more.
