Established in 2019 as part of CeFOP, the ALETHEIA (ἀλήθεια) Center of Excellence is a research laboratory founded to promote research and the exchange of knowledge on issues related to information, professional correctness, the fight against disinformation and polarization forced in the media, on and offline. ALETHEIA promotes multidisciplinary, experimental research that combines the classic analysis of social and political narrative with new cognitive tools, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain. The ultimate goal of the Center of Excellence is to initiate researchers to produce scientific works that allow knowledge of the dynamics of disinformation, also allowing citizens to access analyzes and research that root and renew trust in institutions, based on independent studies. In this sense, ALETHEIA wants to contribute to preserving the freedom of democratic societies and the solidity of the institutions on which they are founded.
