The Third Annual Conference of ENGAGE.EU will take place on 25-26-27 October 2023 at the Viale Pola and Viale Romania Campuses. The Conference will involve the project teams of the consortium’s 9 partner universities and will be an opportunity to review the major achievements and milestones of the project, as well as discuss prospective long-term cooperation able to empower European citizens to frame and solve future challenges.
On Thursday, 26 October 2023 at 9:00 am, streaming live from The Dome of the Viale Romania Campus, the debate, Europe in Transformative Times: Mobilize and Accelerate on Higher Education for Sustainability, will be a reflection on the various challenges that Europe is facing and will face in the coming years, specifically in the field of higher education, and beyond.
Leading figures on the international cultural, social and institutional scene will take part, including:
- Marcela Villarreal Food and Agriculture Organization, Director of Partnerships and UN Collaboration (PSU)
- Enrico Giovannini ASVIS Scientific Director, Professor of Economic Statistics and former Minister of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility and Minister of Labour and Social Policies
- Karen Hanyuan Wang CEO of Climind, SDG Young Leader recognized by United Nations
- Francesco La Camera Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency
- Pietro Bertazzi Global Director, Policy Engagement and External Affairs, CDP
- Lars-Henrik Paarup Michelsen CEO of the Norwegian Climate Foundation and Chair of the ENGAGE.EU Advisory Board
