International Students Scholarships - 2024/2025 Academic Year
Luiss University aims to inspire meaningful change in society by investing in inclusion, social mobility, and collective leadership by going beyond conventions, roles, and goals to transform boundaries into horizons. Welcoming international students is one of our most important values, which is why Luiss University is making forty-five scholarships available for the 2024/2025 academic year, giving priority to:
- students from the Euro-Mediterranean area, particularly the Balkans.
- students from East Asia, such as China and Vietnam, giving priority to deserving students who pass the Gaokao exam.
- students from the Middle East and North Africa.
- students selected pursuant to international agreements or programs (IEC, Diasporas, etc.).
- students holding a diploma issued by the European Schools.
- students participating in orientation workshops and special formats.
Students admitted as part of the international selection process for enrollment in a bachelor's, single-cycle master’s, or master's degree programme in the 2024/2025 academic year will be automatically evaluated for the purpose of awarding the scholarships. Therefore, there is no requirement to fill out additional forms beyond the one required by the University for admission.
International students of Italian descent Scholarships - 2024/2025 Academic Year
Recognizing diasporas globally is crucial for societal growth, expanding national borders culturally and economically. Luiss University acknowledges the strategic impact of Italians abroad and expresses gratitude. To promote the return of young talents of Italian descent, the university announces a competition for ten scholarships, targeting foreign-born students without an Italian passport.
It is highly recommended to support the application with a certificate released by an Italian Association abroad confirming the Italian roots of the candidate.
Scholarships for students admitted through "direct admission"
SAT/ACT Scholarships - 2024/2025 Academic Year
As part of its initiative to value excellent students, Luiss University is offering twelve scholarships earmarked for students with SAT or ACT certification who have applied for direct admission to the first year of a bachelor’s degree or single-cycle master’s degree programme in the 2024/2025 academic year.
The scholarships consist of a 50% partial waiver of the University’s annual tuition fee and can be renewed for the entire standard duration of the degree programme.
GMAT/GRE Scholarships - 2024/2025 Academic Year
As part of its initiative to value excellent students, Luiss University is offering eight scholarships to students who have applied for direct admission for the first year of a master's degree programme in the 2023-2024 academic with a currently valid GMAT or GRE certificate.
The eight scholarships, consisting of a full waiver or partial waiver of the University’s annual tuition fee, will be awarded with priority to students who submit GMAT certification with a score equal to or greater than 710 or equivalent GRE score converted based on the annexed table.
IB Honors Scholarships
Students with excellent applications who have received an IB Diploma in the 2023-2024 scholastic year and apply for direct admission to Luiss University, may be offered a total or partial tuition scholarship. There is no need to apply for the scholarship, all applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship. To make sure to be considered for the scholarship, students are invited to check with their counselors that IB scores will be sent to Luiss electronically through MyIB.
Additional Scholarships opportunities
NIAF ITAMCAP (Italian American Citizenship Assistance Program) Legal Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of the Italian American Citizenship Assistance Program (ITAMCAP), the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) awards a full-tuition scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Global Law at Luiss University, starting in September 2024. The full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to one Italian American student to attend Luiss's three-year undergraduate program in Global Law at Luiss Guido Carli in Rome. This program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of international legal frameworks and prepares them for global careers in law and diplomacy.

Notice of competition for the awarding of a scholarship open to students admitted to the first year of the bachelor’s degree program in "Management and Artificial Intelligence" at Luiss University in the 2024/2025 academic year who have participated in the 2024 CrackThePuzzle International competition.
As part of its initiative to value excellent students, Luiss University will award one of the 45 scholarships reserved to international selection for the academic year 2024/2025 to a student not holding Italian citizenship admitted to the first year of the bachelor’s degree program in Management and Artificial Intelligence who has participated in the 2024 CrackThePuzzle International competition and successfully completed the test. The scholarship consists of a full waiver of the annual tuition fee for the entire standard duration of the degree program.
Progetto Mediterraneo
In 2017, Luiss University and Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Internazionale launched Progetto Mediterraneo, a programme of scholarships for disadvantaged students and refugees from the Mediterranean region.
Progetto Mediterraneo aims to help disadvantaged students coming from vulnerable communities from various Mediterranean countries by giving them access to Luiss’ fully English-language Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree.
Upon completion of their programmes, students possess the knowledge needed to continue their studies and the specific skills to pursue managerial positions that contribute to the economic and social development of the region and their communities.
Through the ongoing fruitful collaboration between The Malta Trust Foundation and Fondazione Mediterraneo, two scholarships are being made available to two disadvantaged Maltese students (residing in Malta) for the Master’s Degree Programmes offered at Luiss University in Rome during the 2024-2025 Academic Year, indicated in the call for scholarships.
Sub-Saharan Africa Project
The "Sub-Saharan Africa Project" is a Luiss University program designed for students and researchers and aimed at providing an educational opportunity to talented young people from the Sub-Saharan Africa region, enabling them to pursue bachelor's or master's degree programs in Italy through the awarding of scholarships disbursed by the University's partner organizations and business enterprises.
For the 2024/2025 academic year, thanks to the contribution of ECU - Eni Corporate University S.p.A., Luiss University is announcing two scholarships for future master's students who are citizens of a Sub-Saharan African country with priority afforded to students from the following nations: Angola, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Mozambique, and Rwanda.
This competition is open to all students from the Sub-Saharan Africa region who have been admitted, in the 2024/2025 academic year, to a master's degree programme held in presence at Luiss University as part of the international selection process based on qualifications by the May 15th, 2024.
